This game follows a man named Knox on his journey to stop a mythical creature named Radagon. There is a disease called Roid going around the village Knox is from and his mentor Hildred believes that it is this creature causing it. The villagers don’t believe that and threaten to kick out Hildred from the village. The villagers don’t want Knox to go because they want him to stay and protect them. He wants to as well but Hildred tells him that Knox’s son, Bo might perish if he doesn't do it. Knox does not want to let that happen.

Growing up, Knox has been kind of a selfish person. His parents were killed when he was young and Hildred took him in to be his son. He trained Knox all of his life because Hildred is actually an Apostle and can see the future and communicate with Radagon through telepathy. He trains Knox to defeat Radagon. Knox is selfish because he feels betrayed by Hildred for lying to him and he runs away to fend for himself. He steals, cons, and lies to people in the village to get his way. He grew up as a criminal. Knox doesn’t make many friends because he thinks they are untrustworthy which is ironic. He starts a family with a woman named Mary and a son Bo. His family is the only thing he cares about. But Hildred warns him that he must defeat Radagon to save the village from a disease. Knox refuses because he couldn’t care about the villagers. But it takes a lot of convincing to make him go. Along the way several people try to befriend Knox but he can’t help his selfish tendencies. He learns along the way though that it's ok to trust people because they can be very important to your goals. Knox acquires a potion that can cure Bo and no one else and thinks about going home. But he continues. He later finds out in a dream made by Hildred that he is in a way related to Radagon. It was Radagon that killed his parents and marked him with a curse. Knox sacrificing himself to Radagon would stop the disease in the village and save everyone. But if he doesn’t there could be serious consequences. He is met with a dilemma. He wants to be with his family but he also wants the best for him. The whole point of the story is to make your character Knox realize that not everything can be about you and that some sacrifices will be for the greater good. He needed to learn that he needs to open up to people and sometimes work as a team to accomplish your goals.
