Week One- Design Journal 1

The reason why I wanted to take this class is because I have always been passionate about video games. I also do enjoy board games and sports. I have had some sort of experience with game designing back when I was in high school. The software I used was called Scratch.io. It was a software just like the one we are using now. We learned how to make short animations. We learned how to make short films and even interactive mini games. Video game creation is something I have been interested in. It is something that I might want to do once I graduate college. Some things I want to learn in this class is to get my skills back in coding. It has been a while since I have done something like this so this class will be refreshing. I want to learn how to make games because they are something I enjoy doing. I like entertaining my friends as well. Some games I play are Call of Duty, Elden Ring, Fallout Series, God of War Series, The Last of Us series, and a lot more. Pretty much any type of genre of video game is entertaining to me. I grew up with them since my Dad had introduced them to me. Call of Duty is probably my favorite because of the design of the game. Even though the series has been getting a lot of backlash recently, I still really enjoy playing these games. It is an FPS shooter, and there is not one specific time setting or genre. My favorite one is Call of Duty Black Ops 3. The multiplayer was extremely addicting, and the zombies mode is one of the best game modes I have ever played.  Another reason why I love this series is because a lot of my friends play it with me.
